The quickest and simpliest chocolate cake ever
If you are searching for a healthy, fast, and easy chocolate cake recipe this post is for you! You will need a few common ingredients that are easy to find in any kitchen and just 10 minutes of your time. The trick? You will bake the cake in the microwave (yes, dear, you can cook there too!). The directions are so simple that my 9 years old boys can do it in 2 minutes without my supervision.
What makes this recipe a real hit of “creative cuisine”
I discovered this recipe in a camping village, spending three summer months at the sea glamping with kids. We did not have a traditional oven but got so bored with ready sweets and cookies! And our neighbor, who had a microwave at her kitchen, taught us the basic recipe that we modified slightly to our taste. When we returned home, we had a traditional oven, all the comfort, and tools to cook anything, but until now, this recipe is our favorite family dessert.
125 g | 1 cup of all-purpose flour 125 g | 5/8 cups of granulated sugar 100 g | 1/2 cup of salted butter melted (I use corn oil instead) 55 g | 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder 2 large eggs 1 white yogurt (120 g) 1 pack of Vanilla Baking Powder 4-5 middle size cookies for the topping

I love this recipe because it is possible to customize it in so many ways. Every time you make it, you can have a completely different dessert on the table! You can experiment substituting the “cocoa powder” ingredient as you wish, with the toppings or both to make a “new” cake with this basic recipe. You can add any glaze or/and fresh fruits at the top. Instead of cocoa powder, add the same amount of banana or pumpkin puree, and it will completely change the look and taste of the cake. Add some pieces of chocolate or chocolate chips instead of cacao. Or cut the cake in half and add some jam, cream, or filling to your cake. Options are endless!
And I am not speaking of convenience – it is an ideal dessert for surprise guests or unexpected visits as it is done in minutes. The size is perfect for breakfast or afternoon snacks for a family of 4 or 5.
